How to Bring Out the Best in You is a book that has been both a blessing and an encouragement to press towards positive change and personal growth.

Dr. Kenney’s book has helped me tremendously in understanding why I was born and who I am. It is safe to say that we all know that we were created for a specific purpose but very few know how to discover that information. Meaning, I never knew how to discover my destiny or what to do to prepare myself for a destiny. It wasn't until I read her book that I realized that it started with me getting to know who’s I was and what God’s word said about me. Although I never envisioned myself as a leader for anyone, her book illustrated that we lead people everyday in many different ways. We constantly lead those through example and personal experiences throughout our lifetime. I discovered after reading her book that I play a vital role in leading young females to adulthood and personal growth. Leadership is an important aspect in everyone’s lives because in order to be successful, you have to mirror a success story. Dr. Kenney has been extraordinary in assisting me with professional development and employment training. I don’t think there is one thing that Dr. Kenney can’t do; but I am glad that she is willing to share her life experiences to lead other’s to greatness and success!

As a young African American female I believe that this book is essential in every young person’s life. It enlightens you on aspects of everyday life that the average human mind would never think of and I thank God for women like Dr. Kenney and the example she provides for people like me. Now that I have read her book, I am a college graduate with professional skills that make me an asset to the work force and the Kingdom of God at large. But more importantly, Dr. Kenney’s book showed me how to heal from past hardships and use them to benefit and cultivate my future.
